Meet Ina Khai:
DC Native. Barnard Woman. Performing Artist (singer, dancer, actor). Writer. Empath. Herbalist. Crystal Collector. Ina Khai grew up drinking medicinal teas, rarely taking pharmaceutical medicine, formulating her own beauty products, grocery shopping at natural food co-ops, singing & dancing at the Kennedy Center, creating jewelry, painting murals, practicing yoga, creating non-profit programs for underprivileged Black girls, and collecting crystals.
Storyteller, multi-disciplinary artist, and cosplayer who incorporates voice, recorded and electronic music, video, writing, film, theater, visual arts, and digital art into a performance art experience. Her work centers the narratives of marginalized communities and African Diasporic Cultures, engaging in black thought, hip hop feminism, and the necessity of the arts. Inspired by the The Harlem Renaissance, The Black Arts Movement, and The Hip Hop Movement, she creates story based works with genres of Black Music, Pop Culture Art, Street Art, Feminist Art, Conceptual art, High Fashion, and Immersive & interactive digital art focusing on themes of transformation, healing, and empowerment.
Every product was birthed from a space of personal need and a missing piece in the beauty & holistic healing space. Representing Black healers and artists alike; joining other women of color, Ina Khai created a brand that focuses on therapeutic and homeopathic practices.
